Amazon Great Indian Festival 2026: Dates, Offers & Price Tracker

Also read : Samsung Amazon Sale 2026: Galaxy S26, S25, Fold8, TVs and More (Prices Checked 8 October)

Published: September 25, 2026. Last updated: October 8, 2026. I checked the same 17 listings three times: on September 25 (before the sale), on October 7 (Prime early access) and on October 8 between 12:00 and 12:20 PM (public sale). The full comparison and my verdict are at the bottom.

Affiliate disclosure: the product links in this article are Amazon affiliate links. If you buy through them, TechMitra may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change the prices I report or the verdict below.

Every big publication has already covered the announcement itself, so instead of rewriting Amazon great Indian Festival press release, I checked live prices on 17 specific products – laptops, washing machines, soundbars, kitchen appliances, earbuds, and smartwatches – and tracked the same listings through Prime early access and the public sale. That’s the only way to actually know if a “40% off” banner means anything.

Is the discount actually real? Here’s how I checked

Indian shoppers have good reason to be skeptical of festive “discounts” – a lot of them are just MRP inflated a few weeks before the sale, then “discounted” back down to roughly where it started. The only way to catch this is to know the price before the sale banner goes up.

That’s what the tables below do. I noted the price of each listing on September 25, two weeks before the sale, then checked the exact same listings on October 7 and October 8. If the sale price is higher than or equal to the September 25 price, the discount is cosmetic.

What I checked, and what I didn’t

Checked on all 17 listings:

  • Listed price on September 25, October 7 and October 8 (between 12:00 and 12:20 PM)
  • Product name and specifications on each listing

Not included in the prices below:

  • Bank card offers and coupons. The tables show the listed price, so your final price can be lower if you have an eligible card.
  • Later price changes. Amazon prices can move during the day, especially in the 8 PM Deals slot, so treat the Oct 8 column as a noon snapshot.

Price tracker: 17 products, checked September 25, October 7 and October 8, 2026

Laptops

ProductPre-sale (Sep 25)Prime early access (Oct 7)Public sale (Oct 8)Change vs Sep 25
HP 15 fd0883TU – Core 3 100U (i3 14th Gen), 8GB DDR5, 512GB SSD, Win11, MS Office 2024, 15.6″ FHD₹56,700₹55,100₹54,990-₹1,710 (3.0%)
HP Professional 15 – Core 3 100U 14th Gen, 8GB DDR5, 512GB SSD, 15.6″ FHD₹48,290₹47,449₹46,990-₹1,300 (2.7%)
Dell 15 AI-Powered – Intel Core Ultra 5 225H, 16GB DDR5, 512GB SSD, Copilot Key₹84,990₹78,630₹77,990-₹7,000 (8.2%)
HP 15 fc0806AU/690AU – AMD Ryzen 5 7520U, 16GB DDR4, 512GB SSD, Win11, M365 Basic, Backlit Keyboard₹67,990₹72,750₹64,990-₹3,000 (4.4%)

All four laptops are cheaper on October 8 than they were on September 25, but the size of the drop is very different. The Dell Core Ultra 5 gave the biggest cut at ₹7,000 (8.2%). The two HP Core 3 laptops fell only ₹1,710 and ₹1,300, roughly 3%, which is not much for a festival sale.

The HP Ryzen 5 is the one to be careful with. Its price went up to ₹72,750 on October 7, then came down to ₹64,990. Compared with October 7 that looks like a ₹7,760 drop, but compared with the pre-sale price the real saving is ₹3,000. The gap between the two HP Core 3 laptops is now ₹8,000 (₹54,990 vs ₹46,990), slightly narrower than the ₹8,410 gap on September 25.

Washing machines

ProductPre-sale (Sep 25)Prime early access (Oct 7)Public sale (Oct 8)Change vs Sep 25
LG T70VBMB1Z – 7kg, 5 Star, Smart Inverter, Top Load, Turbodrum, Smart Diagnosis₹19,990₹20,090₹18,990-₹1,000 (5.0%)
Samsung WA70BG4441YYTL – 7kg, 5 Star, Eco Bubble, Digital Inverter, Top Load₹18,990₹18,490₹17,490-₹1,500 (7.9%)
LG FHB1207Z2W – 7kg, 5 Star, Steam, Direct Drive, 6 Motion DD, Front Load, In-Built Heater₹27,490₹28,490₹27,490No change
IFB SERENA OXN 7012 – 7kg, 5 Star, 9 Swirl Wash, Steam Refresh, WiFi, AI-Powered Front Load₹31,390₹32,190₹31,990+₹600 (1.9% higher)

This is the category where the “sale” is weakest. The LG front-load machine is back at exactly its September 25 price of ₹27,490 after going up to ₹28,490 on October 7, so there is no discount at all. The IFB is even worse: ₹31,990 is ₹600 higher than before the sale, even though it is lower than its Oct 7 price.

The two 7kg top-loaders did get cheaper. Samsung dropped ₹1,500 and LG dropped ₹1,000, so the gap between them widened from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 in Samsung’s favour. Between these two, Samsung discounted harder this time.

Soundbars

ProductPre-sale (Sep 25)Prime early access (Oct 7)Public sale (Oct 8)Change vs Sep 25
Sony HT-S40R – 5.1ch Dolby Audio, Wireless Rear Speakers, 600W, Bluetooth/USB/HDMI₹26,990₹26,990₹23,989-₹3,001 (11.1%)
Sony HT-S20R – 5.1ch Dolby Digital, Compact Rear Speakers, 400W, Bluetooth/USB/HDMI₹17,701₹17,990₹14,989-₹2,712 (15.3%)
Samsung HW-B67EF/XL – 490W 5.1ch, Dolby Audio, DTS Virtual:X, Q-Symphony, Wireless Subwoofer₹26,990₹21,142₹19,990-₹7,000 (25.9%)

Soundbars are where the discounts are genuine. The Samsung HW-B67EF/XL is the biggest drop in the whole tracker: ₹7,000 below its September 25 price, which is 25.9%. It was already ₹21,142 on October 7 and fell another ₹1,152 on the public day.

On September 25 the Sony HT-S40R and this Samsung were priced exactly the same at ₹26,990. Today the Samsung is ₹3,999 cheaper. Both are 5.1ch systems with a wireless subwoofer, so the price gap now matters, but sound quality, connectivity and rear-speaker setup should still decide it. The smaller Sony HT-S20R also saw a real cut of 15.3%, after its price had gone slightly up on October 7.

Kitchen

ProductPre-sale (Sep 25)Prime early access (Oct 7)Public sale (Oct 8)Change vs Sep 25
Sujata Dynamix Mixer Grinder – 900W, 22000 RPM, 3 steel jars₹7,090₹7,090₹6,790-₹300 (4.2%)
Philips HL7756 Mixer Grinder – 750W, 3 stainless steel jars₹3,499₹3,899₹2,999-₹500 (14.3%)

The Philips mixer grinder is a good example of why the September 25 baseline matters. It went up ₹400 on October 7, then fell to ₹2,999, which is ₹900 lower than the Oct 7 price but only ₹500 lower than the real pre-sale price. The Sujata’s drop is small at ₹300.

Earbuds

ProductPre-sale (Sep 25)Prime early access (Oct 7)Public sale (Oct 8)Change vs Sep 25
OnePlus Nord Buds 4 – 52dB real-time ANC, Spatial Audio, 54hrs playback₹3,299₹2,899₹2,899-₹400 (12.1%)
realme Buds T310 – 46dB Hybrid ANC, 360° Spatial Audio, 40hrs battery₹2,399₹1,899₹1,899-₹500 (20.8%)

Both earbuds dropped on October 7 and stayed at the same price on October 8, so there was nothing extra to gain by waiting for the public sale. The realme Buds T310 has the second-biggest percentage cut in the tracker (20.8%), behind only the Samsung soundbar. The gap between the two earbuds is now ₹1,000, up from ₹900 before the sale.

Smartwatches

ProductPre-sale (Sep 25)Prime early access (Oct 7)Public sale (Oct 8)Change vs Sep 25
Samsung Galaxy Watch8 – tracked: 44mm LTE Graphite. Oct 8 listing: 40mm Bluetooth Silver₹25,999₹20,999₹18,499 (40mm Bluetooth, different variant)Not comparable
Apple Watch SE 3 – GPS 40mm Midnight Aluminium, Midnight Sport Band M/L₹25,900₹29,900₹29,900+₹4,000 (15.4% higher)

I’m not counting the Galaxy Watch8 in the verdict. The listing I checked on October 8 is the 40mm Bluetooth model, while the one I tracked from September 25 is the 44mm LTE model, so the ₹18,499 price cannot be compared with the earlier two. Don’t read it as a ₹7,500 drop.

The Apple Watch SE 3 is the only product in the tracker that is clearly more expensive during the sale. It is ₹29,900 on both October 7 and October 8, which is ₹4,000 above its September 25 price. I would not call that a sale price at all.

Verdict: were the discounts real?

Of the 17 listings, 16 can be compared with the September 25 baseline (the Galaxy Watch8 is the exception, explained above). Here is how they came out:

  • 13 products were cheaper than before the sale. A typical (median) product was about 6% cheaper.
  • 1 product had no change: LG FHB1207Z2W front-load washing machine.
  • 2 products were more expensive than before the sale: IFB SERENA OXN 7012 (+₹600) and Apple Watch SE 3 (+₹4,000).

Best real discounts versus the pre-sale price: Samsung HW-B67EF/XL soundbar (₹7,000, 25.9%), realme Buds T310 (20.8%), Sony HT-S20R (15.3%), Philips HL7756 (14.3%) and OnePlus Nord Buds 4 (12.1%). In rupees, the Dell 15 laptop also gave ₹7,000 off.

Prime early access was not the better price. On the listings I could compare, the October 8 public price was never higher than the October 7 Prime price: it was lower on 13 products and the same on 3. Also, 7 of the 17 listings (HP Ryzen 5 laptop, both LG washing machines, IFB, Sony HT-S20R, Philips mixer grinder and Apple Watch) were priced above their September 25 price on October 7.

What I’d do: compare any “sale” price with the price from a few weeks earlier, not with the crossed-out MRP. Soundbars and budget earbuds were the safest categories this time; washing machines and the Apple Watch were not. This is a noon snapshot, and your card offers come on top of these prices.
