Introduction : My Second Jio PC review
Technology is advancing rapidly, and Jio has introduced a new product called Jio PC app, which lets you use a virtual PC on your television. After testing it once earlier, today I decided to check whether the Jio PC app can handle WordPress websites and Elementor editing smoothly or not. Here is my honest, practical, and detailed second Jio PC review for all website creators, freelancers, and small business owners curious about it.

What is Jio PC App?
For those who are not aware, Jio PC app is a virtual desktop solution launched by Reliance Jio, where you can convert your smart TV into a Windows-like PC environment using their cloud computing technology. It is part of their Jio set-top box ecosystem.
It works like a thin client – meaning you are not installing heavy apps on your local device but using Jio’s cloud server resources remotely.
My Setup for Today’s Test
Today, I tested it on:
Device: Jio set-top box connected to a 49-inch LED TV
Internet connection: Jio AirFiber 100 Mbps plan (899)
Input devices: USB keyboard and mouse connected directly to the Jio set-top box
I wanted to check two things:
Can it open and manage WordPress admin panel smoothly?
Can it handle Elementor page builder editing, including dragging widgets and uploading images?

Using Chrome Browser in Jio PC
Once inside Jio PC, I opened Google Chrome browser, and as usual, the familiar interface appeared.
I typed my website address – techmitra.in – and the website opened smoothly, just like on a normal computer.

Logging into WordPress Admin
Then, I went to /wp-admin and entered my login credentials. There was a little delay (around 2-3 seconds) while the admin dashboard loaded, but nothing frustrating or unexpected for a virtual PC setup.
Checking Google Site Kit and Rank Math Tabs
As a tech blogger, I regularly check Google Site Kit for analytics and Rank Math for SEO. Both plugins opened without any problem.
- Google Site Kit showed my website traffic data clearly.
- Rank Math SEO plugin loaded all options, meta fields, and suggestions as it does on my laptop.
This was impressive because SEO plugins often load many scripts in the backend, which can lag on low-spec devices, but here Jio PC performed decently.

Testing Elementor Page Builder
The real test was opening Elementor editor on a post.
I clicked “Edit with Elementor”.
The Elementor editor opened in normal loading time, like it does on a mid-range Windows laptop.
I tried to drag an image widget from Elementor’s left panel to my post container area.
Dragging worked smoothly, and the widget was placed without any error.
Uploading Images with Elementor
Next, I clicked the image widget to insert an image from the media gallery.
Media library opened smoothly with all images showing up.
I selected one image and inserted it.
The image appeared in the widget within a second without any lag or freeze.
This was quite surprising because many low-spec PCs struggle with Elementor, but Jio PC handled it decently.

Minor Delay in Mouse Movement
One thing I noticed was a slight delay in mouse movement while navigating between widgets or tabs.
At first, I thought it could be due to the virtual PC’s server response time, but then I wondered if it is because I am using a 49-inch LED TV as a screen. Such large displays often create cursor delay if the refresh rate and resolution settings are not optimal.
I will check the same setup on a smaller monitor or TV in my next test to confirm whether the mouse delay is due to screen size or Jio PC app processing.
Final Verdict: Can You Use Jio PC App for WordPress and Elementor?
Based on today’s detailed testing:
- Yes, you can use Jio PC app to create and edit websites on WordPress.
- Elementor works smoothly, including widget dragging and image insertion.
- SEO plugins like Rank Math and Site Kit work without issues.
- Minor delay in mouse pointer movement is there, which may affect long editing sessions but not basic content editing or quick changes.
Is Jio PC App Worth It? Pricing Concern
Currently, Jio PC app is in trial phase. Jio has announced that after the trial period, the charges will be Rs 706 per month.
Honestly, this is on the higher side for many small business owners, students, or casual users who can buy a budget laptop at EMIs instead of paying monthly for a virtual PC.
However, for offices needing quick remote desktops, schools, or for people who already have Jio set-top box and want a PC-like experience on their TV for browsing and document editing, it can be a good temporary solution.
My Final Opinion
I appreciate Jio’s innovation with this app. Not everyone can afford a PC or laptop today, and with cloud-based virtual computing, people can access a Windows-like environment without investing in hardware.
But pricing will decide its future adoption. If Jio offers lower monthly plans or free usage with certain Jio Fiber plans, it will become a popular digital inclusion tool in India.
What Next?
In my next review, I will:
Test Jio PC app on a smaller screen to check mouse delay issues.
Try heavy apps like Canva or Photoshop (web versions) to see graphic editing performance.
Explore file management and cloud storage integration options.
Stay tuned for that review on techmitra.in.
Final Words
If you are a WordPress user or website designer, Jio PC app can support your basic editing work, blogging, and light graphic designing needs.
It is not a full PC replacement yet, especially for heavy software developers, video editors, or gamers, but for blogging, WordPress management, and learning, it is a good alternative.

Key Takeaway
Jio PC app can run WordPress and Elementor smoothly with minor mouse delay. Its utility will depend on final pricing and personal use cases.
