In a major push toward AI-powered education, Google has rolled out new Gemini AI learning tool in India, specifically designed for students preparing for the JEE Main exam. This move builds on Google’s June 2025 announcement, when it introduced 30 new AI tools for educators and a dedicated Gemini in Classroom experience for students worldwide.
Now, with India being one of the most competitive education markets globally, Google is tailoring Gemini to meet the intense demands of engineering aspirants aiming for top institutes such as the Indian Institutes of Technology.

Gemini AI Learning Tool Now Offers JEE Main Mock Tests
Google announced that Gemini AI will now allow JEE Main aspirants to take full-length mock tests directly inside the chatbot. Students can simply type a prompt like:
“I want to take a JEE Main mock test”
Once the test is completed, Gemini instantly evaluates the responses and provides:
Correct and incorrect answer analysis
Overall score
Time taken to complete the test
This instant feedback loop is designed to help students quickly identify weak areas and track performance without switching between multiple apps or platforms.
Google has also confirmed that these features will soon be integrated into AI Mode in Search, making them accessible directly from Google Search.
Partnerships with PhysicsWallah and Careers360
To ensure accuracy and exam relevance, Google has partnered with leading Indian coaching platforms:
PhysicsWallah
Careers360
These institutes will verify mock questions and educational content, helping Google align practice tests closely with the actual JEE Main exam pattern. According to Google, this collaboration ensures that the questions are “more similar to what students will face on exam day,” addressing a common concern among aspirants about the quality of online mock tests.
Personalized Learning and Concept Explanations
Beyond mock exams, Gemini AI also acts as a personal tutor. If a student struggles with a specific topic—be it electrostatics, calculus, or organic chemistry—they can ask Gemini for:
Simplified explanations
Step-by-step problem solving
Concept revisions tailored to their understanding level
Gemini can also generate customized study plans based on a student’s preparation stage, available time, and target score.

AI Mode in Search Gets Smarter for Students
Google is extending these capabilities to AI Mode in Search, where students will be able to:
Create study guides from class notes
Generate interactive quizzes using the Canvas tool
Adjust question difficulty, depth, and format based on the exam
Students can upload or paste their notes and prompt AI Mode to turn them into quizzes or revision material. Just like the Gemini mock tests, these quizzes will also come with scores and detailed feedback, making revision more structured and measurable.
AI Education Race in India Is Heating Up
Google’s move comes at a time when India is becoming a key focus for global AI-driven education initiatives. Just months earlier, OpenAI, led by Sam Altman, announced a learning accelerator program for India in August 2025.
As part of that initiative, OpenAI entered into a research collaboration with IIT Madras, providing $500,000 (around ₹4.3 crore) in funding. The goal of the partnership is to explore how AI can improve learning outcomes and introduce innovative teaching methodologies in Indian higher education.

What This Means for JEE Aspirants
For students preparing for one of India’s toughest entrance exams, Google’s Gemini AI tools could be a game changer. With verified mock tests, instant feedback, personalized explanations, and AI-powered study guides—all within a familiar Google ecosystem—students may no longer need to juggle multiple platforms for preparation.
As AI continues to reshape education, Google’s latest rollout signals a clear intent: making high-quality, personalized exam preparation more accessible to Indian students at scale.
