
At the 6th edition of the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025 in Mumbai, Invest in Denmark and Copenhagen Fintech, in partnership with Startup Réseau, hosted a thematic session on Green Fintech — focusing on sustainable innovation in financial services.
Launch of Green Fintech Report
The highlight of the event was the launch of the report titled “Green Fintech – Denmark: Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Future.”
The report features innovative startups and cluster organizations from both Denmark and India, promoting cross-country collaboration on sustainability and technology in financial services.
Key Speakers and Themes
H.E. Rasmus Abildgaard Kristensen, Ambassador of Denmark to India, delivered the opening address emphasizing Denmark’s global sustainability commitment.
Ulrik Nødgaard, Governor, Danmarks Nationalbank, shared Denmark’s approach to integrating climate considerations in financial regulation.
Shri K. Rajaraman, Chairperson, IFSCA, delivered a special address on “India’s Global Financial Gateway: IFSCA’s Vision for Green and Innovative Finance.”
Collaborative Roundtable Discussion
The closed-door session gathered policymakers, investors, startups, and ecosystem leaders to explore collaborative pathways for climate-aligned financial innovation.
Participants highlighted the need for regulatory alignment, private capital mobilization, and bank–fintech partnerships to accelerate the transition to low-carbon business models.
Denmark’s Vision at GFF 2025
Denmark’s participation in GFF 2025 aimed to showcase the Nordic region’s strength in Ethical AI, Quantum technology, cybersecurity, and Green Fintech.
Enhanced direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Copenhagen are also expected to boost Indo-Danish collaboration in the fintech and sustainability space.
